Well, we made it here safe and sound!!! It was a long 27 hours, but we're here. As you can see we are not looking our best but Zach's Ninja Turtle Leonardo made sure we made it OK (thank you Zach!!!!!) That's him on the couch in our apartment. The apartment is very small, but clean, which is the most important thing.
Kiev is actually a pretty nice city and the apartment is just off the main downtown area called Independence Square. There is some very beautiful architecture here, and lots of snow too! When we arrived it was actually sunny, which is rare here this time of year.
We have the whole day free tomorrow so we will be sightseeing but staying close to the apartment in order to be ready for our appointment on Tuesday. Right now, we expect to be heading out on Wednesday night for the region (of course the amount of travel will depend on where we are going).
Right now, we are heading to an Irish pub of all things to grab some dinner. We will log on tomorrow with more pictures and let you know how the food and drink was.

Glad to hear you guys made it safe. I was out all last week - had to fly to Trinidad. Will tell you about it another time.

I agree, you both look really good for all that travel. Must have been the $4 vodkas on the way over! Hope the you get some real authentic Irish food in Kiev :-)
